Sydney Herman
Social Work Master's Student at Spring Arbor University
I earned my bachelor's degree in Family Studies with a minor in Addiction back in 2020. My goal after graduation is to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in a therapeutic setting.

My passion for therapy and helping others stems from my own experiences with mental health struggles as a teenager. I made a vow to myself to support others in navigating life's challenges, ensuring they have someone who will walk alongside them through difficult moments. I have experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as strengths-based and mindfulness-based approaches. I've worked with teens and young adults, particularly within the juvenile justice system. While I have a strong passion for supporting individuals who experience anxiety, depression, and ADHD, I am not limited to those areas.
My primary focus during our time together is to provide a supportive and judgment-free space where you can feel safe and vulnerable. I aim to offer a fresh perspective and walk with you through wherever you are in life.

A Bit About Me: I recently took a leap of faith and moved from Michigan to Kentucky to continue my education and embrace new experiences. I enjoy movies and books, especially thrillers, horror, and romance - anything that keeps me on the edge of my seat! I'm also passionate about weightlifting and competed competitively until I started my master's program, which now takes top priority. Above all, I love connecting with others, whether in my personal life or professional setting. I'm endlessly fascinated by people's stories and what makes each person unique.
